Epoxy Threadlocking Protection.

Key features

Consist of outer curing agent shell material with epoxy adhesive locked in microcapsules. During assembly microcapsules, which are contained within the coating, are crushed thereby releasing an active ingredient, which initiates the curing process.

After 60-90 min time from assembly the process of hardening of the adhesive is initiated, which can last, according to the type of substrate or coating, up to 72 h.

3M™ Scotch-Grip™ allows equal breakloose torque or even higher at least 30% than the on torque. Additionally the coating could be reused, because part of the microcapsules is not crushed during the initial assembly. Joint stability, even if overloaded, allows very high breakloose torque. Temperature range: -55°C to 180°C, all metal substrates.

The product can be applied on:

• Screws,
• Pins,
• Studs and plugs,
• No standardized parts.

3M™ Scotch-Grip™ Adhesives have been so designed, that after application a thin film on a thread, it can be easily dried, forming ready to use pre-applied coating.

3M™ Scotch-Grip™ profile

3M™ Scotch-Grip™ are characterized by very high torque values on coated fasteners.

The product comes in two color-coded varieties designed for optimum performance at various temperatures. 3M™ Scotch-Grip™ technology allows very precise selection of optimum performance at various assembly values and temperatures:

• Service temperatures not exceeding 110°C - Scotch-Grip™ 2353 - color blue.
• Service temperatures not exceeding 180°C - Scotch-Grip™ 2510 - color brick-brown.

• Over M16 and length 100 mm in semi-automatic mood.

Suitable for all substrates, mostly magnetic metals.
